Visually, it looks REALLY good. I took particular notice of your water

Hi
We have had a DA approved for 5 apartments in Thirroul, one hour south of Sydney.
We can’t afford to build them as the figures don’t add up for us.
But I’d love to see it sold to a co-housing group.
Could you help promote it?
On 1,000 sq metres, minutes from the shops, school, rail etc there is an approved design for a solar passive apartment block of 5 units. No air conditioning. All north facing living areas. 40,000 of rainwater to be reused, 10,000 litres of storm water adn a grey water system.
Way ahead on the BASIX for energy & water efficiency.
A permaculture garden design.
Is there a co-housing group who’d like to buy and build?

How do we promote this.?
My web skills are weak.
Help

Hey, have you tried the jalapeno seeds? I planted them a while ago but no luck. Any advice?
Hey there Vans
I keep forgetting to check in with you guys about these. I planted them about a month ago and nothing! I reckin the seeds may be duds since neither of us have been able to get them going and chillis are usually pretty easy to get to grow. I am going to try another batch soon - all we need is one little plant
Hi there
I just love your site, I have recently started something similar for Brisbane http://www.EcoMum.com.au. Mostly, as I wanted to change my own habits and encourage friends and others to see how easy it is. I’m finding it exciting, at times daunting (trying to get my head around alot of topics) - but your site really raises the bar. Congratulations on a truely useful & cool site.
PS - Can I link to you too?
Laena
Sure Laena, link away. Great site by the way. I will keep an eye on it for some handy hints since I am a mum too.
Just got a grey water system going this weekend!!
Diverter valve = $24
Pipe Glue = $7
Pipe connectors etc = $15
Irrigation Piping X 20m = $25
mulch for garden beds = $50
This was a simple exercise! Now we have showers and brush teeth while watering our thriving QLD tropical garden.
A washing machine can also be converted to greywater with a hose connecter and irrigation line headed for a mulched garden bed.
For photos that might help….

Nice site - just wondering if you have room somewhere for an ‘employment’ category. If so, you might consider our site: http://www.nrmjobs.com.au (advertising environmental job vacancies in Australia and New Zealand).
Cheers
David Mussared
Hi David, I have considered posting jobs yes but haven’t had the time to find them. The site you posted looks good - does it have an RSS feed that I can use?
Cheers
Hi Trina, great site and wonderful to see the emergence of so many people truly passionate about the planet. My little contribution is an edgy T Shirt label called Planet Truth with thought provoking designs and made from organic cotton. If we can save the waterways, environment, wildlife and ultimately us from the horrifying effects of pesticides and insectides via the many products we use with conventionally grown cotton, we will be making big strides in the right direction. Happy to have a reciprocal link and bring like minded people more closely together. Here’s to a green future. http://www.planet-truth.com

First of all congratulations on your website, I love it….lots of good hints and articles. I’ve even put it as my homepage :). Was wondering if you or any of your readers have any good ideas as to what to do with loquats? I have two trees which are loaded with fruit just about ready to start picking. Would hate to waste it all!
Cheers,
Claire….Perth Hills.
Hi Claire,
Not sure about loquats myself but the folk over at the Daley’s fruit tree blog and forum are very helpful. Check out this post for more info

So many useful and sensible and workable ideas, all in the one place. I made a blog on similar topics… Now that I have found yours, I can just refer people here, which saves me all the trouble of writing things up. Except, my blog doesn’t really get visitors…Where do visitors come from?
I’m looking forward very much to the story of what your ‘connector’ mind does with that masters degree.
What a blessing you are.
Cecilia
Hi there, nice site!
I’m the webmaster for http://www.ozpoly.com.au
It’s a rainwater tank supplies & installation company servicing Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, while doing research on Google I came across this site, and I was wondering if you could add our website to your directory please? =)
Thanks very much in advance. Keep up all the good work.
Leila
Hi, a great informative site but I can’t find the item that I am looking for….we have tank water and I have seen in a magazine, but it’s lost now, a device that circulates the hot water constantly through the pipes so that hot water is always ready at the hot tap. This eliminates the cold water that runs down the drain whilst waiting for the hot to come through. It was an Enviro-something.
Can you help?
John

Hi
Great website!
I look after the public relations for Orange Power (www.orangepower.com.au) and Ecoflo Water Management (www.ecoflo.net.au) and I would like to arrange listings of these companies on your website.
Recenlty, Orange Power launched a Greywater-safe laundry liquid - would you be interested in receiving the media release for your news section?
I will look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards

Hi, Great website,we run a green community at http://www.ecobites.com and would love to add you to our eco sites http://www.ecobites.com
Green cheers.

I have only had a brief look at the content of the site. I wish to talk about shopping for fruit and vegetables.
I no longer buy friut or vegetables that are imported. Items such as oranges from California; asparagus from either South America of East Asia; garlic from China (which has all been chemically treated); pears from China.
Your greengrocer should by now be putting up the country of origin of each line. If they do not, ask them where they come from.
This is all part of being an influencer, and the shop-keeper should heed your questions if enough people do it. So have your friends and collegues do it too.
Change our shopping habits - eat only in-season fruit and veg.
